Three Weird Events You MUST Support

Weird in Portland is starting to get back to normal… or rather, weird events are now showing up on the calendar as folks begin participating in socially distant, in-person events once again. Let’s come out and support fellow weirdos over the next several months!

The Portlandia Mermaid Parade

Weird Portland United is pleased to collaborate with the Portlandia Mermaid Parade to produce the 2021 Part of Your World Walking Tour, a festival of all things mermaid and water related! Outdoors, and socially distant, come visit interactive mermaid spaces, educational booths, performances, art installations, a live mermaid tank exhibit and more! Grab your shells and tails and come down to the waterfront for a swimmingly good time!

July 31st, 2021 at Tom McCall Waterfront Park
(between the Morrison Bridge & Salmon Springs Fountain)
This event is free of charge

GeekCraft Expo

GeekCraft Expo is a specially curated craft market offering the latest and greatest in handmade, “geek”-themed crafts of all kinds. You name it, you’ll find it… everything from clothing, accessories, toys, home decoration, furniture and art. Folks are encouraged to dress up in cosplay, and admission is free of charge (you just need to pre-register).
